why do my excel documents say shared?

When i try to modify my excel documents my graph bar is grayed out and can't be modified at all <br>
<br>
when i look at the top it says book 1 (shared)<br>
<br>
now I did not share any office files???????help me please<br>

In Excel, go to "Tools" - "Share Workbook" Remove the user other than you that is there. This should remove the "shared" in parenthesis at the top. Re-save the file. This should do it. If not, reply back and let me know. <br>
