Why do I need Site Server

I am having an ASP application running on IIS server.

Why should I use Site server and will it run IIS server. Where should I get some info on Site server.

Site Server enhances IIS Server by providing LDAP facilities. It takes over the security of the IIS Server and is managed through site server itself. It provides easy functionality to things like catalogues etc.
