I have a Word document and I've inserted several jpg's into it. Occasionally, on updating the document I notice that my inserted graphics have been replaced by red diagonal crosses for no apparent reason. Fortunately, I keep back-ups of my files, so no major damage is ever done, but it is irritating and I wonder if this has ever happened to any of you - and if so what's the solution? What am I doing wrong?

I use Word 97

Cheers

Mike

A couple of things to do:

Go to Tools, Options, Save tab, Clear the Allow fast saves check box.

Make sure that there is enough space on your drive for the doucment. Rule of thumb is 15 to 20% of your total HD space should be free.

If this doesn't help, please repost
