Why Can't I use SFTP with Dreamweaver 8???

I've was able to use SFTP to connect to my server until just recently and I can't figure out why. Could it be an upgrade to Windows XP (I'm using SP2), Microsoft Office 2003, or McAfee SecurityCenter? I don't believe the system administrators have done anything to the server to prevent me from getting in because I can successfully get to my files using WinSCP. Can anyone help?

SFTP is in dreamweaver, WinSCP is a different application...

1) if there has been any updates to Dreamweaver or McAfee its very possible the firewall thinks that Dreamweaver is a different application...

2) Windows Firewall Possibly?


Possible Solution) Try having your Administrator login and open Dreamweaver and connect using SFTP for a few seconds, logout of the account so the settings save, and restart the computer.

hope this helps, i have run into a numerous problems with McAfee and DW8, so yeah don't blame you, when McAfee acts up on me, i just shut it off.... i hate McAfee... Norton Internet Security all the way!
