My web server is on Linux, use Apache 2.0, php and cgi supported, It used to works well, but recently I found that I can't upload office files (word, excel ..), sometimes it works but sometimes it not. do anybody have same experience? I'm so appreciate your help. thanks.

Have you looked at your logs?

Have you upgraded PHP recently? Perhaps your php.ini settings that limit upload file sizes were reset to 2MB defaults?

Hi, thanks for your answers.
but I checked my apache logs, there's only "Apache/2.0.52 (CentOS) DAV/2 PHP/4.3.9 configured -- resuming normal operations". no others.
And it's 2 MB limit in php.ini, isn't ok? and I tried to use CGI to upload word file, It does not work too.
so I think maybe the problem is in apache configuration; but I can't find out where is wrong setting.

apache generates an "error_log" file, was that what you looked at?

Also, if your cgi is using php for its scripting language, then you are subject to the same php.ini restrictions.

What exactly is the error the user sees?

It may be a script issue. Some scripts will not upload an executable file by default for security reasons. It could also be that your script does not recognize the file extension. Try changing the extension or editing your scripts configuration to allow the extensions that office uses.
