Why can't I open text attachments?

When I receive text attachments from people OUTSIDE of my local network, MS Outlook displays an "Insufficient Memory" message and closes Outlook. I am able to receive audio and images, but not text attachments. Any suggestions??

strange... have u tried scanning it with a virus scanner.. and also ensure it's a .txt extension file..

good luck..
