running mac 8.6, IE (any version). My browser (IE) will now not open any links generated by javascript- i.e pop up windows or any further links which are javascript generated- I'm going mad.

have full MRJ latest version and all setting appear to be correct. Links work using Opera browser but not IE, can anyone tell me how to cure this?
thanks

jon

Jon,

Have you tried launching Microsoft Internet Self-Repair?
There may be a corrupted element within your Microsoft stuff.

I'd also look at how much memory your system is allocating to IE. Know how to do this? Up it a bit and see if it might be a memory issue.

Also perhaps an OS upgrade in your future??

Have you check to make sure that JS is TURNED ON?
In MS IE 5x, open IE Prefs, Under Web Browser, go to Web Content. At the bottom is the Active Content section - I generally recommend leaving ActiveX off for security, but "Enable Scripting" is the JS function.

Now, with that said, there ARE some complex JS scripts that don't work right in MS IE's emulated version of JS (Mac or PC) - JS is a Netscape thing, remember :)

HTH.
