after i booted SCO Unix,i was demanded to input the login.but it seemed that i hadn't been given the login or the prompt to set the login.so i was puzzled.

why can't I get the login?

Durint the initial installation you were asked to provide a password.
Login as root with that password. Tony Lawrence

i did give a password.but the system asked me to input the login entry.i just don't know what that is.

Use root, then when prompted enter the password you gave when building the system. HTH.
