Hi All,

I have set up a user that has permission to see one view only.

When I set up an ODBC link via ACCESS I am presented with that view as well as several system tables:

eg.

INFORMATION_SCHEMA.CHECK_CONTRAINTS
INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS

etc etc etc

Is this a problem and can I stop them seeing these without stopping them seeing the one view I have setup for them??

Many thanks
Mark

That's because all logins are members of PUBLIC and PUBLIC has access to the Master database. You probably also have their default (Enterprise Manager, expand Security, click on Logins. Double click on the login, look on General tab), set for Master and not the view.

Make sure the ODBC connection is set to the view and not Master.
