Hi,

I'm trying to educate myself regarding C#.

Is it a sort of shorthand for C++?

Why use it.

I found an open-source IDE for C#, and I've head a lot about it, and I'm just trying to figure out if it would be an asset to me.

I do a lot of GUI/MSSQL work, mostly form-based.

Thanks.

Not to be rude, but this has been addressed several times in the past on this forum.

"Me, VB.Net all the way. Simple to read code with same advantages of C#. But I like a simple life!"

Found the above during a search. If that's the case I'll just stay focused on VBN.

I figured that this question has been hashed out before...but thought I'd ask anyway. Sometimes people like to pontificate.

Just trying to broaden my horizons.
