Why backup is not utilizing full space of 20 GB Media?

I have Legato 7.3.2 & compaq 20\40 Dat drive on windows 2003 Sp1 Server. when i try to take the backup of networker server C drive & D drive which is approximately 15GB, backup happens upto 7 GB and get Halt because for the new media (giving me error in logs " Waiting for 1 writable volume to backup") . when I checked volume property i shows me Media USED 7269mb & % Used Full? (Note it is Scratch/ Blank Media)

Why backup is not utilizing full space of 20 GB?

NetWorker will set a media to full if it can not recover from a write error. Consequently it will request another piece of media.

Now, it is hard to tell right away whether this is due to a drive or a media problem. But this is how NW works.
