Why aren't my pages publishing?

I'm using Front Page 2000 and cannot publish my web pages. I enter the address etc in the first dialogue box but cannot get to the bit where I put my password in, it jumps back to the first dialogue box.

Your home page should be renamed index.html before you publish also your web server will have to have the Front Page Server Extensions for some components to operate properly.

If your web provider does have Frontpage extenstions you may have to configure your computer so it allows itself to publish to Frontpage. I had to do this once on a friends computer but now I forget how to do it. Go to a website the offers FrontPage extensions and read their troubleshooting area. There should be some advice there. Come to think about it I might have gotten that information from
