why are there double back slashes in the bpdbjobs -reports allcolums

Does anyone know why there are double back slashes in the bpdbjobs -reports -all_colums output. looking at writing a script to parse this and would liek to know why the double slashes exist.

Yo, just run 'bpdbjobs -all_columns' the '-report' can be left out (it is the default anyway).
