i have a movie with a series of bitmaps that create an animation. i am using them at 100% size, and they look fine in the flash authoring environment. when i publish the movie I get an irritating horizontal break in the images, as when you view a bitmap at an irregular size. I tried moving the clip around the screen with no improvement. I also tried changing jpg export compression to 100% quality.

Is there any way to insure my bitmaps look right?

Break the image apart.

Also when using bitmaps in a tween use 99% percent alpha instead of 100 and use 1% instead of 0.

The gap in the bitmap usually shows up when you have a tweening image over that image.

WOW! the image breaking was just the ticket, even though it took some experimenting to get it to work for me because i have the jpgs within a heirarchy of several clips.

Thats just the sort of flash quirk thats very tough to figure out on your own, so thanks a lot!
