Why am I prompted for password when connecting to shared file

I have a Win2000 Server that has been running just find for over a year and now is suddenly requesting a password when we attempt to connect to a shared folder. Also this happens when I attempt to do a VPN connection.

The request for a password happened suddenly for no reason. There was no changes to the server settings at the time this situation occured. I have "guessed" at several passwords and have not been sucessful.
