Good day,

When I add a Pivot Table component to a form in Excel then, I don't have the functionality to move my columns or to export the data to Excel.

Would anyone know what the reason for this is or do I maybe have to install some service pack ?

Regards

Hi,

I am confused!

When I add a Pivot Table component to a form in Excel ...

You must mean that you are adding something to a SHEET that you are using as a form, because I never heard of a PivotTable on a UserForm.

Whn you say that you are adding a PivotTable COMPONENT, do you mean that you are dragging a field into your existing PivotTable?

I don't have the functionality to move my columns
Move WHAT columns? The columns in the PivotTable? Some other columns?

How are you trying to move these columns?

or to export the data to Excel

I thought you were in Excel, from your very FIRST statement. Is this an MS Access question?

I am CONFUSED!

Hi Skip,

Thanks for the reply.

No, I am actually in Excel. I am in the Developer environment and I have created a UserForm where I have selected and draged a Microsoft Office PivotTable 11.0 component from the ToolBox onto a UserForm.

The idea is to then create an Add-In which will launch the Pivot Table in the form for the user to use.

I have done this before in Excel 2000 and in Excel 2003 however, I am now working with Excel 2007 and this does not seem to work as it used to in the past. I was wondering if I may be needing a service pack or maybe I am not referencing the correct .dll's

Any ideas would be appreciated...

You were using MS Office Web Components. The latest version (11) came with office 2003. This technology is both no longer developed and not submitted with office 2007. However, they can still be downloaded and installed. Some details are available here and here.

Thanks Combo,

I'll have a look at this ...
