why am I getting a horizontal scroll bar

Hello,

I have this page, composed of two frames. One takes the whole screen and the other one is just a 1px height that will contain a music file. Anyway the problem is that I'm getting a horizontal scroll bar and the content is not wide enough to cause this.

this is the whole frameset, notice the scroll bars

Then notice the main frame within it has no h-scroll bar

What can I do to get rid of that h-scroll bar?

Oh by the way, it only happens in IE, firefox is OK

I am not getting any horizontal scrollbars (unless I make my browser small enough to make your page not fit the browser) in FF, IE6 or IE7. Have you fixed the problem?

is it relative to screen resolution?

I also only see the scrollbars (IE6/7) when the window is smaller than the content (which, BTW, would include the footer image).

Are you sure that the content isn't going over the size of your browser window?

I'm positive...my window is maximized, and I still see the h-scroll bars. Vertically I know is needed because the footer makes it a bit bigger than 1024x768, but horizontally is not, and I'm still getting it. Firefox is OK though.

i've just dropped my res to 1024 x 768 and none of those links give me a bottom scroll bar in IE7

Oh well, let's hope that this is the case for all other viewers as well. I still see them though

I do see what you're talking about, and it looks to me like the frame name="mainframe" is spanning 100% of the screen in IE6.

This is an IE bug
