who to make border image transparante?.

I don't know if it's the good place where to poste this question but, i havn't another idea.

I am using JBuilder4 pro, whan i associate an image to a menuitem it's border isn't transparante
and the menuitem is not beautiful to see.

can anybody tell me who to make the border of an image transparante, to use in menuitem?

I am assuming you are talking about a JMenuItem, otheriwse you wouldn't be able to stick an image onto it.

Can you use the setOpaque(false) method of the JComponent superclass to do this??

Failing that, you may want to manipulate the image in an image processing application that will allow you to set the background/border to transparent.
