I have just installed solaris 8 on my Intel PC, but ifconfig -a do not show my NE2000 PCI compatible card why ?

how can install it ?

With my linux i can install it by:
#ifcofig eth0 IP netmask NETMASK up

thanks ;-)

You should check hardware compatible for Sun Solaris Intel.
During the installation,Did the Sun Solaris Intel ask you to configure network ?
You use ifconfig -a to check your ethernet interface up/down.
The Sun Solaris Intel should not use ethernet interface as eth0, but they used other name for ethernet interface.
If during the installation, the Sun solaris Intel can't detect the network card.Maybe the network card isn't compatible with Sun Solaris Intel.
