Hi all! (My deadline for this, of course, is by a 1pm mtg Tues Apr 27th which gives me tomorrow, Monday and Tues morning.)

I've been asked to create a list of reports according to who the report was published by. Is there an easy way to do that? (I suppose I'd like any way to do it, not just the easy ways!!) :)

The other information that was requested to be in the list:
Name of report
UserName of person who published
Date Published (I believe this is the creation date)
Date of latest instance, if any
Folder pathway

If I can't get all the info, some would be better than nothing or than doing it manually.

I'm running CE9.

Thanks in advance!!

Here's a thread that will get you there (Requires Excel):

thread782-732083

Note that there are a few potential mods required to the script supplied, the only one I required was to fix the copy_email portion which I posted at the end of the thread.

Thank you! I did happen to see that post so I will definitely try it!

Crystal 9 can report off of MicroSoft file directories.

When you install 9, it is an option that you have to enable.

I haven't tried to use it until just now, but I quickly created a report showing all of my .rpt files, their parent directory, and last modification date.

It shows author as an item that can be added to the report, however I couldn't get it to display correctly.

It appears that you can report all of the fields shown in the properties tab when you right click a file.

MColeman: This is for reporting off of the Crystal Enterprise database, not Crystal Reports in a directory.

Interesting thought though.
