Is there a way to see who, or what process, is using a group list for mailing. Once a group is in the NAB anyone can use it. We've had a few instances when a group was deleted by the owner, but other people were expecting it to be there, that the owner didn't even know about.
As a Notes Administrator I'm trying to be proactive.
Thanks.

Unfortunalty in R4 (Not sure about R5), there is no way to identify who may be using a mailing list. The client in R4 converts the mailing list before the message even hits the mailbox. This may be an option in R5 since the mail handling is different between the two versions. Check your Mail.box logs and see if the "sendTo" fields contain a list of names or group names. You could even extrapolate out the group and try and capture those messages that include the exact list of individuals that are in the group name.

If the groups are not meant for use as e-mail lists then specify in the group that it is for Access Control Only that way people will not be able to use it for mailing. But unfortunately if you created a mailing list then people will use it, i think it is just human nature and curiosity to just use things because they can.
