Two of my PC's keep creating a DR Watson Fatal Error. The error message says "Windows 2000Returned , Error code =87, parameter is incorrect.

Both have the machines have been reformeated and are running Windows 2000 and Office 2000. The error is created while in MS Word. I have re-installed Office 200o and still get the error message. It also generates about 75 dialog boxes repeating the error.

Thanks

Check your system tray in the bottom right hand corner. Is Dr. Watson running there? Dr. Watson is a utility that creates a log of all of your errors. Its not Watson that is causing your problem though, it your MS Word that you are using when it bombs. Jeremy Leasure

My suggestions are just that, suggestions.

i got the same error. i was playing unreal tournament and when i exited, i got that error.

is dr. watson a program that is installed with windows 2000? if so, how can i take it out?

Dr. Watson is a debugging tool for Windows 2000, which logs system information in the event of an application error. It is installed by default, and it's not what's causing your error. It's just telling you there was one. Marc Creviere
