I love the fact that IP printing takes a load off my servers and LAN. However, when I use a Netware print queue I can easily find out just what users have access to any print queue.

Is there any way I can do the same for an IP configured printer when the printer has an internal NIC and each client accesses it directly, as opposed to accessing it via a share?

Many ip printers allow you to connect to them via http in your browser. You can do admin functions and some will show print queues etc.

Ok, that does work but only to a point.

What I am hopeing to be able to do is identify which users are connected to what IP printers using the IP protocol, which only allows for print queues on the local PC, AFAIK.

Thanks,
