Moss100, probably not "huge," but the mdb db I created for work 25 years ago in Acess97 ( started out as a Condor db) has; 34 tables, 76 queries, 65 forms, 37 reports, 14 macros and 19 modules. accdb size is 6,235 megs.
I retired in 2009 and still use it as an accdb for reference. I've never asked if it is still in use at the office. It was for an optical shop where I worked as an optician for 4 ophthalmologists. Kept track of patients, frame inventory, glasses prescriptions and before we got a new phone system, would dial the phone number to inform patients their glasses were ready. Would also calculate the imbalance between the two eyes at an axis of 90 degrees for a special grind.
It calculated the price of the glasses with all options and acounted for high prescription, prism...
One of the modules would figure the check digit of a UPC-A barcode and a form for printing a small label with the UPC, price and frame name. The label would fit on a small plastic tab that fit over the temple piece of the frame.
Had daily, weekly, monthly reports for frames sold, prescriptions sold. A calendar for scheduling frame representatives. And on and on.
Wanted to sell the db, but when the HIPPA requirements appeared I knew it was way, way over my head.
