I want to be able to enter determine who has a file open on a netware 5.1 server. The onld Whohas utility does not work in 5.1. I am looking for something I can run at the dos prompt and have it list everyone that is using a specific file in a specific location.

Thanks terry712. I tried the monitor route and of course it does show who is using the file as far as connection numbers but the old whohas utility listed the users out by login name and it allowed a broadcast message to be sent to the users.

Hi
You could try the utility "whohasit" - I presume its an update to whohas

Regards

Dave

Do you know where I can find this "whohasit"?

You can also check via the servers Portal:

a) In your Internet browser, go to (obviously replace servername with what your server is called)

b) Login with your full username (eg .name.context.ou)

c) Under Volume Management, navigate to the file and click on the Red Questionmark by the file.
