Who created a file on a share

Hi all,

I'm running samba and have a public share that all domain users have access to. Is there any way to tell who created a file on that share?

Hi

Depends on your config.
If you are using "force user = xxx" then it would be difficult to track without additional Samba auditing.
I use username maps so by checking the properties on the file using Windows explorer, I can can check the security settings to see who the owner is.
