Who am I?

I have a BCM400 4.0 that acts mostly fine. It's sending an SNMP alarm that seems to indicate a problem with LAN port 2 even though I have confirmed the port works. The one that really has me concerned though is the fact that I can't click on "Identification" in the System folder when I'm logged into Element Manager. I get :

ERROR: Device component is restarting. Please wait 5 minutes and try again.


This has been going on a while and the BCM has been restarted. I'm leaning towards replacing the drive, but does anyone know where the data in the Identification field is pulled from? I'm a little worried I may have a failing MSC.

It sounds like you have some corruption. Can you do a backup and restore OK?.
