Is there a way to see who may have moved/copied files/folder from one location to another. A friend of mine in a small office had some files disappear...then reappear......with modifications. So, he knows someone moved/modified/returned those files and folders....is there a way to check and see who it may have been?

Asking around came up empty (of course)......

Thanks...

Unless you have 'auditing' enabled on the folder/files/drive in question, I do not believe so.

That's what I figured, but thought maybe someone knew of a way..... Thanks

You might get lucky and by checking the properties and see who the last owner of the file was.

Hey.....How do I turn the auditing on?

Right-click on a folder, then select the security tab.

The auditing button is in here.

Yeah, but I had to enable auditing first.....I found it under adm services.....

Thanks again....
