White Space in HTML Source Code 1

I work for a company who provides a comprehensive database driven content management system.
Currently however all pages are constructed with a huge amount of white space at the top of each page.
A customer of ours believes this adversely affects the searchability of their site.
I cannot find anything in this regard on the net.
Can anyone help ?

Hi mate,

Your customer is correct.

Some spiders will only read a certain size from the begining of the file, so you are wasting a huge amount of valuable space, not to mention adding to the users download time for nothing.
