Hi,

I am trying to find out how to insert an image in a Quark doc that the white is taken out of the background
of the image the same way you can remove it from a gif in image ready.

Command M:
Modify pitcher box
Click Clipping tab
Type: non-white areas
Or the smart way is to create a
Clipping path in Photoshop

You get a lot more control if you build the clipping path in Photoshop. You can decide whether to nip into the edges, how to handle interior highlights etc.

No technique outlines a vignette (soft edge) very well, though; sooner or later, you have to decide where the image actually stops, and it may look abrupt.

Best wishes,
George
