Hi,

How can I tell Exchange 2003 to ALWAYS accept mail from a specific host? I have a school admin program that sends out email on the behalf of teachers and it appears that exchange doesn't always want to accept it.

Jon

doesn't always .."

What does that mean, it either does or doesn't, Exchange has no mood swings ;-)

It means just what I said. Some messages are sent, others are rejected. Maybe it's the symantec plugin mis identifying message? I don't know. I just want to tell exchange to accept messages from the host. I don't believe I suggested mood swings as the problem. I just stated the symptoms.

You DID say "does't always accept it' , that is not the same as 'doesn't accept SOME messages'.

But well, if you suspect Symantec (yuk), then telling Exchange anything you want will not make a difference. Disable whatever you think is in the way and test again.

Now I'm confused.
"Some messages are sent, others are rejected."
"How can I tell Exchange 2003 to ALWAYS accept mail from a specific host?"

Are you having issues sending or receiving?

It is sending.
But, you can't tell Exchange to accept always, if a message is malformatted or something, it will reject it.
Better were to investigate WHY the server rejects them, without that info, it is plain guesswork, thus pointless.
