white flash before quicktime plays!!

i got a qt video that plays direct to stage, but it flashes before it plays! can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? i tried moving the qt off stage once it starts playing and moving it back on the 2nd frame, but it still flashes.......
thanks in advance to anyone who can help...
