Hi

I am running CS2 on a XP platform on three PC's. All PC's use the same KVM-switched monitor (LG 1917S).

On my main PC the white background in all images loaded into CS2 show as cream. Yet they show correctly as white on my other PC's also running XP.

The only difference is my main PC (the problem colour) has Twain setup for an Epson V700 flatbed scanner. That's about the only difference.

Can anybody suggest why the background shows as cream? Even though it is correctly set as white (255,255,255 RGB). And all prints from this machine print as white too.

All my other applications (CAD etc) all show white on this machine. It is just this one CS2 app.

Any suggestions to try welcome thanks.

...verify your color management settings are correct, found in edit > colour settings...

Does that monitor have a colour temperature setting?
If so, check that out.

Have you tried to run Adobe Gamma for color correction?

Start > Control Panel > double Click Adobe Gamma Icon and follow instructions

Thanks to all who offered help.

I solved it by accident really and it seemed to be the Gamma setting.

I thought I had already done this on this PC but I ran Adobe Gamma again and set it up and it is now showing white.

Just too many machines with too many setting to control!

Thanks again.

It is 100% hardware enduced. There is nothing you can do in photoshop to correct this. It isn't even a problem really, some computer are developed with this. The monitors are not the issue either, unless the monitors are really old and made by Microsoft. Video Card....
