I've used Illustrator for Mac for years and know that I can place an Illustrator EPS in Quark with a transparent background - no problem.
Now I've saved one of my files for use on a PC. I saved it as Illustrator 7.0 EPS with a TIFF preview. I sent it to my client, who works in Windows. She finds that the EPS always comes in with a white background when she places it in Quark 4 or 5 on a PC.
Is there a way around this? Should I save in a different format for PC? Can a PC read an EPS with a Mac preview? (I notice, in the Save dialog box, that "Opaque background" is selected and grayed out when I click on TIFF preview, so I wonder if there's any way around that.)
Thanks.
