while down state?

Hi peeps.

Yknow how on some websites, when u click a button, and goto a page, the button correspoding to that page if a different color, so users know what page they are currently on.

Is there a way to do something with flash, kinda an over while down state thing.

i am trying to create something that works like a radio button style so that multiple buttons can be "on" at once.

not easy as the button object does not have a color property
however you could give a slightly different look by altering its alpha... for a button called myButton

on(release) {
myButton._alpha = 50;
}

Or have a 1 frame mc (with a color altered copy of the button's down state) laid over each button, that you can make visible on the first press, and invisible on the next press. In effect a toggle on each button. Regards,
