Hello, me again.
Which is best ? The scenario is : There are 7 remote sites to this network, most on slow links. The tree has not been setup correctly, so the remote sites are walking the tree to find their apps etc. Restructuring the tree so that each remote site has a copy of its own apps, printers etc will take a while to sort out, so would a filtered replica be a short term workaround for this ? I haven't used filtered replicas before and was unsure by the huge selection of objects/attributes to choose from, even though you can easily identify the ones you think you need, I can't seem to find much detail on what to include or exclude. There is also the option to Login Local which be default is not checked. They already login locally so what effect does this switch have ? Any info would be useful.
Many thanks.

Hi,

unfortunatly you did not write the eDir and Netware Version.

In the actual eDir Versions it does not "really" matter if you use filtered replicas or normal.

The actual Versions are trying to find the fastest way to one replica and talking then not to other servers that much.
So frm this point of view, just put a replica with the needed information on each server in the branch offices and let the users logon to this server (location setting in the netware client)
