I am ready to purchase a new video card. Requirements are:
Use one card to run two monitors - Dell trinitron 19" CRT and Envision 17" Analog LCD.
Be able to use 3d-album software that says it needs a 3d video card
Be able to run now under Windows 98 SE
Be able to run sometime in the future under Windows 2000
Not screw my whole system up

I am not a gamer, but plan to use the dual monitor setup to edit pictures in full screen mode on the CRT while having editing tools on the LCD.

System is a Dell PIII 800 MH machine with 768MG RAM

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

I would go with the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB or the Geforce 4 TI 4200 64MB.
Both these cards offer very good performance per cost and offer duel monitor support.
Out of those two, I would lean most towards the Geforce, as their drivers are usually more stable and card performance is slightly higher. ~Apex1x
