Which Version Of Linux To Learn

Hello All,
What's the consensus on the most appropriate version of Linux to learn that will be most applicable to current Avaya systems? Is it still mainly Red Hat?

Most stuff is centos 8, tho some is still 7. Same deal as red hat.

So, in 8, it's not ifconfig, it's IP addr show

I think you can get free redhat too if you sign up for a free dev account on their website
 
I don't think there is a specific version to learn. You have a choice now of "software only" in which you choose the supported OS from the PDFs or you install the OVAs from Avaya using whatever they provide (mainly RHEL but that experience is less relevant when you treat the device as an appliance).
