Which version of Crystal is the best to use for Web Reports

I just started working for a company that uses Crystal 7 and places the reports on the Web for their customers. I believe that Crystal 8.5 may be a better choice for them but don't know the current issues or bugs of this newest release.

It is critical that data be completely accurate for these reports since they concern medical test results any missing or incorrect data could mean the difference between life or death.

They currently use Tango for passing parameters to Crystal and provide Web viewing on Windows 2000. Would it be safe for me to suggest upgrading to Crystal 8.5 or should we wait a bit for those 'new release kinks' to be resolved?

Crystal V7 Web Server is single-threaded. V8 is multi-threaded.

The big difference is in the licensing costs and there are long discussions in here about that.

If it's truly a mission-critical, can't fail application there are other more expensive tools that should be/could be looked at. Like BusinessObjects or Cognos Impromptu.
