DOes anyone recommend a good TFTP server? CUrrently I am running SOlarwinds but it seems that the phones only come up at about 2 at a time. This poses a problem because one overseas location is prone to power outages and it causes significant downtime when the phones load slowly. IS the Avaya TFTP server good? Also if I try it, I am guessing I can convert it to a service?

Thanks,

Greg

I've used PumpKin TFTP with good results. Solarwinds locks up on me a lot.

Whoops, what is wrond with simply using the manager as the TFTP server?

Since I am new to the Avaya world when you say manager what are you specifically talking about? Are you talking about the PBX? One of our big problems is we need to convince our company to by a gatekeeper at this iverseas location. Currently all the phones register to our clan and med pro boards in the states. So we need to at least have a tftp server at the remote loacation

You're posting to the IP Office newgroup. IP Office has a manager application that can act as the TFTP server.

Avaya TFTP implementation is buggy and can't handle a high load.

I can highly recommand the winagents TFTP which also runs as a service under XP/2000.
