I am trying to make a program that will pull up the journal entries in the General Ledger via Excel. The problem is I am not sure which table holds the journal entries.

Basically my question comes down to how would you browse the journal entries in the GL? Do you have to hit a series of tables that link together and pull from the posted batch tables? Or is there an easier way?

Thanks

GLJEH - journal entry header
GLJED - journal entry detail

Join the tables on the batch ID and entry no fields.

The easier way is to open the batches in Accpac GL journal entry screen, why reinvent the wheel?

Thanks, I've been fiddling with those two tables a little bit. Can you elaborate a little bit more on joining the tables? I've got the basic ideas, and when I think I've got it it starts to pull information from years ago.

I totally agree about not reinventing the wheel but this is for a practical application in a 3rd part client.

Thanks for your help so far.

How are you querying the data?
You are going to get all the transaction history in the tables, you need to filter the data in the query.
