Hi, just installed XP PRO on three identical computers, all working great. How ever on one of the computers after it boots up I receive an "PLEASE SELECT WHICH OPERRATING SYSTEM TO USE"……There are two options listed 1:WINDOWS XP PROSESSSONAL 2: PREVOUS OPERATING SYSTEM ON C: Regardless of which one I select the computer boots normally to XP. The computers were all fdisk , formatted, the FAT32 was used then XP installed. How would I go about eliminate that start up message? Thank you for your time: gypsy200

Open a folder and navigate to your root folder (C:). Go to Tools menu, choose Folder Options and click the View tab. Make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected", "Hide file extensions for known file types" is UNSELECTED and "Hide protected system files" is UNSELECTED. Then open boot.ini in Notepad. There should be a line at the bottom saying "PREVIOUS OPERATING SYSTEM ON C:". Delete that line from the file and leave everything else intact.
