Hi,

I have an option to have one of the following switches. Would any of these help me for CCNP and CCIE switching practice. If so, will this be enough.

I checked the Ciso site, none of these use 5000 CLI. Only 2901 and 2902, other than 5000's use the same CLI. 2924 uses IOS and I don't know about 1912

Here are the switches I have to choose from:

Catalyst Switch 1912 - 12 10Base-T ports, 2 100Mbps port

OR

WS-C2924-EN - 22 10/100 Base-T ports, 2 100Base-TX uplink ports

Thanks very much!

The CCNP Switching exam is based on the 5000 series. Ideally, you will have a switch with layer 3 capability and CAT OS.

And the 2900.. I had config questions about VLANs on the 2900.. as I said in a different forum for this question.
