90% of our users are thin users. Is there a way of displaying which server they have connected to anywhere on their back drop, e.g The server name is always placed on the tool bar or the 'My Computer' comment is changed to the server name.

I sould have mentioned we are using W2K and MetaFrame 1.8 SP2.

go to
look for the mycomputerupdate_ts 2000.ini or MyCmpUpd.zip
here is basically how you do it:
you will have to edit this registry key...HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\classes\clsid{20D204FE0-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
LocalizedString=Delete
LocalizedString=REG_EXPAND_SZ "My Computer (%username%:%computername%)"

hope that helps

forget that link...doesn't work anymore..lol

just open up regedt32 and follow the path to the alpha/numberic number.

Whenever you get there you will see the localizedstring value on the right hand side of the pane. double-click on it and highlight/delete everything in there.
Then just type in "My Computer (%username% : %computername%)" value.
