which Ram is better

would 2x 1GB sticks of RAM giv better prefomance than 4x 512MB of RAM. It would all be DDR and PC3200. if you do know which preforms better please let me know, thanks
 
I would go with the 2 sticks of 512MB, it would be less of a hassle and you could run dual channel. Also it would probably be cheaper to go that route. Hope this helps.

Probably 2x 1GB
But if you really want performance memory you may want to consider quality low latency modules from a maker like OCZ or Mushkin
