I have cr. 8.5 using oracle 8i. I have a report with two possible queries for it, how do I tell from the development environment which query is being used?

Also, Is it possible to change the query being used without having to recreate the report?

Also, a report cannot find it's dictionary (and neither can I), it apparently finds the query, can I change this?

Thank you for your assistance

Thanks,
Mary

Yes, I did think of it. It's greyed out. The report uses a crystal sql query. For some reason when I open the report, it cannot find the 'dictionary'(Dictionary not found).

The reason apparently is the length of the name.
I have three queries:
bulkasbestos_analyticalcomment.qry
bulkasbestos_analyticalresults.qry
bulkasbestos_analyticalresultsreport.qry

I changed the name of bulkasbestos_analyticalresults.qry
to bulk_analyticalresults.qry and it works.

So far.

Thanks for your response.

Thanks,
Mary

Try to avoid using the Crystal Query Designer, even Crystal doesn't suggest it anymore.

Now you tell me!!

Actually, I don't use it. Someone else in my office used it and they are no longer here. I get to clean up the shmess.

Thanks,
Mary
