My company has 3 Deskjet 690/693C printers which are all over 3 years old.

We are looking to replace them in the VERY near future, and are looking at the current Deskjet range.

I would appreciate some assistance with narrowing down our selection from the range by giving you my search criteria:

2 of them the priority is speed
1 of them the priority will be photo quality on normal paper, closely followed by speed
they ALL need a low ink indicator
monthly output will be, say 50 sheets a day
A4 printing - no need for A3 printing
each will be used primarily used by 1 person, but 2 will be occasionally shared using Windows printer sharing to another 1 or 2 persons
a printer with 2 trays would be useful for 1 of them (if available)
reliable paper feeding, including 2 of them need reliable envelope feeding

Can you assist?

Regards,
Jay

well start looking at say 970cse and most of the 900 serise would be a good start from hp and maybe even a tektroinc color laser might be a worth your time to look at gunthnp
Have you ever woken up and realized you where not alive.

We use the HP 2250tn. Higher price but longer lasting with features: "High-performance print speeds-up to 15 pages per minute in black, 14 pages in color, Robust networking for business, HP's modular ink delivery system, with four individually replaceable ink cartridges, provides affordable color for workgroups, with significant cost savings and speed gains. Brilliant photo quality on any paper with HP's exclusive PhotoREt III enhanced color layering technology."
Runs about $950 with 2 trays & JetDirect card. About $300 less w/o JetDirect. It is truly made for business, not a glorified personal printer.

Cheers,
Mark ;-)

Hi,

After looking at various models, I have chosen the HP Deskjet 960C for our 3 new printers.

We are thrilled with the high quality of the printouts, with the speed, and will greatly benefit from the higher capacity ink cartridges that the 960C upwards offer, in addition to the low ink indicator.

Thank you for your input.

Regards,
Jay
