I'm running Crystal Enterprise 10.0 Report Application Server. I'm trying to make it acessible to some of my users outside of the office. However, I need to know what ports I need to open up on my firewall to allow users to get through it.

Please help
Thanks!
Matt

Assuming you are running all crystal services on the same machine, I believe the port # you are looking for would be 6400, that should be the port number that the CMS is using on your crystal machine. So the post you should open on the firewall would be <CRYSTALSERVER_IP_ADDRESS>:6400. If that is not the valid port for your CMS, you can check it in the CMC, on the config tab for the CMS. Hope that helps!

PS. If your webserver and webconnector are inside your DMZ and the rest of the components are inside your firewall you would have to use other settings.

Hi,
The CMS uses that port ( 6400, by default) for Incoming traffic and it assigns a random port for outbound, unless you specify the port with -requestport xxxx on its command line..

Read the docs carefully about using CE in a firewalled environment...( BTW, if you plan to upgrade to V11 ( BOE XI) you will have much more to do...)
