Greetings all...

I've recently installed apache_2.0.39-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi onto my computer for the sole purpose of allowing people to d/l certain files.

My problem is that I am behind a XP gateway, using shared properties.

I am trying to change which port for Apache to use. However, the only ports that the program will allow me to chose are 80 and 8080. Since I have only requested two ports, so far, to be redirected to my computer I wish to use one of them, either 81 or 82. Why can't I do it?

Is it so that the port "CAN" be 81, but the local redirect should be 82?

so when people enter, , the computer will redirect to my computer at 8080 ??

Would this work??

My codes look like something a kid wrote
I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about
Somehow I still manage to make it work
