We have a mix of Dell GX260 and GX270 machines. About 15 of the GX270 machines keep crashing at random points where the screen just distorts and a hard reboot is required.
I want to enable the logs on these machines to see if we can get any information about what is happening but am unsure of which logs to enable.
Any ideas?

Make sure all fans are running, the video cards are fully seated, and their heatsinks are not clogged up with dust.

If those are ok, then remove the computers' covers, and run external fans. If that works, then they need additional cooling.

If your running Win2k/xp/Nt4, take a look at the enteries in the event log with the event viewer.

Does DR Watson ever popup? If so, you should have a dr watson folder. Or something similiar. ALso do a search for *.log

I can look in the event viewer but I need to enable more of the logs to be active. Was wondering if anyone knew which ones should be set to active instead of enabling all of them and having to search through a massive amount of data.
